The 2016 Kia Rio comes in three different trim models. The car comes in LX, EX, and SX models. In addition to the standard trims, Kia also offers a five-door variation of the Rio. The five-door option is available in all three trims. While there are some similarities between the trims, there are also several differences.All trims come standard with body-colored bumpers, auto-off headlights, and tinted glass. However, if you're looking for fog lamps, this is not available on the LX trim. The LX trim offers a black mesh radiator grille; however, the EX and SX trim have a black mesh radiator with chrome surround. The SX offers outside mirrors with turn signal indicators, and these mirrors are power-folding. In addition, if you're interested in a power sunroof, you'll want the SX trim.The car has a 101.2-inch wheelbase, a width of 67.7 inches, and a height of 57.3 inches. The four-door model offers 172 inches in length, whereas the five-door model is only 159.4 inches. On all models, the front track is 59.8 inches in width and the rear track is 60 inches.
Power
No matter which trim you choose, the engine on the 2016 Kia Rio is a 1.6-liter I4 engine. The car gives dual continuously variable valve timing. The engine supports 138 horsepower and 123 lb.-ft. of torque.
Performance
All trim models include an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and sportmatic controlling. In addition, if you're interested in a six-speed manual transmission, this is available on the LX trim. The Kia Rio gets 27 mpg city and 37 mpg highway. It includes a fuel tank capacity of 11.4 gallons.
Interior
You need a car that offers all the interior features you're looking for. There are a number of entertainment and comfort features available in the 2016 Kia Rio. The car comes standard with an audio system that includes AM/FM radio, CD player, MP3 playback, and SiriusXM Satellite radio. The LX trim includes four speakers, while the EX and SX trims offer six speakers.
