The new 2025 Kia EV6 is the electric crossover of tomorrow, here today. It defies EV expectations with a battery that charges in as little as 20 minutes and a 0-to-60 time that’s as quick as 5.0 seconds.

The EV6 enters the 2025 model year with new, larger batteries that provide more range than ever. The entry-level Light’s 63.0-kWh lithium-ion battery can power your EV6 for 237 miles on a full charge, while its other three trims travel up to 319 miles on their 84.0-kWh batteries. With a Level 2 charger, you can recharge these batteries at home in under 8 hours. Using a Level 3 fast charger, they’ll recharge from 10 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.

Every EV6 has a 4-wheel independent suspension for sharp handling and an efficient permanent magnet AC synchronous motor. The Light’s motor averages a manufacturer-estimated 115 MPGe combined and delivers 167 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. Rear-wheel drive Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line trims have 225 horsepower, 258 lb.-ft. of torque, and 114 MPGe combined efficiency. With all-wheel drive, these models increase their power output to 320 horsepower and 446 lb.-ft. of torque, with 106 MPGe efficiency.

Comfort and Tech

The EV6 seats five in a comfortable cabin featuring heated front seats and a dual-zone automatic climate control system. Depending on the trim level you choose, you’ll find seats trimmed with recycled fabric and SynTex, full SynTex, or SynTex and suede. Many trims offer unique interior color combinations like Black with Off-White or Saturn Black with Toffee Brown. There’s also 24.4 cubic feet of space for your cargo, and its 60/40 split-folding rear seat creates 46.7 cubic feet of space.

Outside, the EV6 has auto extending door handles and LED projector headlights, while inside it has dual 12.3-inch screens, including the instrument display and navigation touchscreen. Five USB ports and a wireless phone charger make it easy to keep device batteries full, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connect your smartphone to the touchscreen and audio system. The EV6 also protects you and your passengers with driver assistance features that provide warnings, automatic braking, and steering assistance.

New for 2025

Inside and out, the EV6 has a refined look this year, including new wheel designs, a new design for the headlights, and a new D-shaped steering wheel. New sound absorption materials were added for 2025, making the cabin quieter than ever before. The towing capacity of the Light Long Range, Wind, and GT-Line trim levels was also increased to 2,700 pounds.
